The Smallest Troll Saga: Chapter III
In the spring of 2025, I went to check on Gizzlegomp. He was nowhere to be found so I archived the geocache. However, a few months later, while taking a shortcut through a corner of Oak Hill, I was surprised and relieved to spy Gizz supine on the ground. He was clearly in a state of shock. Some critter had gnawed on him. He kept mumbling gr’fobnrr, gr’fobnrr, the troll word for squirrel.
I took Gizz home and gave him a new layer of Crusty™ coat. After he made a full recovery, I returned him to Oak Hill. I gave him a tiny sack of provisions and wished him luck. Gizz doesn't want squirrels to find him again so I'm sure he's hidden himself well.
To be honest, Gizz was a dreadful houseguest. He never cleaned up after himself, always drank the last beer and never bought more and would screech troll war chants in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. Good riddance!
Gizzlegomp is hanging out well above the ground but an epic blizzard might bury him.
Here are the first two chapters of Smallest Troll Saga:
Chapter I
You know where trolls live, right? This troll may appear to be micro-sized camouflaged geocache container but trust me, he's a real troll named Gizzlegomp. Not only is Giz the smallest troll in Acton, he's also a master of disguise!
Chapter II
So Gizzlegomp, the unusually diminutive troll, had to leave his under bridge abode in Acton…for reasons.
The tale of Giz’s perilous journey to reach Oak Hill in Littleton would make an epic saga but he’s a troll of few words so the skalds had nought to work with.
Giz was too tired after his adventure to go house hunting. You’ll find him hanging out by a tree thinking about life and stuff.
