Nirvana formed in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Known as being the pioneers of, and being the leaders of grunge, their career only lasted three years when their founder, Kurt Cobain, committed suicide. To this day they continue to influence modern rock culture. On a side note, their drummer, Dave Grohl, went on to found Foo Fighters, a leading and influencial band on its own. Nirvana experienced commercial success with eternal songs like: Lithium, All Apologies, Breed, Come As You Are, Heart-Shaped Box, Smells Like Teen Spirit and many more. Nirvana consisted of Kurt Cobain on guitar and vocals, Krist Novoselic on bass and Dave Grohl on drums.
