Geocache Description:

The 90th instalment of the South Oxfordshire event series.

When : Wednesday 13 August - 6:00pm until 8.30pm, or when the last cachers leave!

Where : The Catherine Wheel, Hart Street, Henley on Thames, RG9 2AR

A return to the Catherine Wheel in Henley on Thames.

The Catherine Wheel Hotel is one of Henley’s oldest coaching inns and it is now run as a Wetherspoon’s pub with hotel accommodation upstairs.

The pub dates from at least the 15th century with a pub named Le Katharine Whele mentioned in a will of 1499. In 1679 the proprietor became mayor of Henley and the pub grew considerably during the 19th century when it was a major coaching inn.  Food available.

We have asked that they reserve seating for us towards the back, adjacent to the courtyard.  Keep right as you enter the pub.

What : Talking all things caching, drinking and being merry! Exchanging and moving of trackables. All welcome from newbies to the experienced cachers.

Why : Because it is fun with all the friendly cachers in the area,
