Kampa eiland is een (bijna) onontdekt pareltje vlak onder de Karelsbrug in Praag. De meeste toeristen blijven hangen op de brug, genieten van het uitzicht en kopen souveniers van de stalletjes. Weinigen weten dat aan de zuidkant van de brug een klein paradijs ligt. Kampa eiland is een oase van rust, vol bomen en met uitzicht op de Moldau. Het eiland biedt voldoende vermaak: de 'hoofdlaan' met gezellige cafeterassen en een middenperk vol bomen doet Frans aan. Voor cultuurliefhebbers is er het Kampa Museum en voor wandelaars een prachtig groen park zonder auto's.
Na Kampe de mooiste laan op het eilandje met aan weerszijden pastelkleurige huizen in barokstijl. Er zijn geen winkels, wel restaurants met in de zomer terrasjes onder schaduwrijke bomen.

Kampa Island is an (almost) undiscovered gem just below the Charles Bridge in Prague. Most tourists linger on the bridge, enjoy the view and buy souvenirs from the stalls. Few know that on the south side of the bridge lies a small paradise. Kampa Island is an oasis of peace, full of trees and with a view of the Vltava. The island offers plenty of entertainment: the 'main avenue' with cozy cafe terraces and a central area full of trees has a French feel. For culture lovers there is the Kampa Museum and for walkers a beautiful green park without cars.
Na Kampe is the most beautiful avenue on the island with pastel-coloured houses in baroque style on both sides. There are no shops, but restaurants with terraces under shady trees in the summer.

Ostrov Kampa je (téměř) neobjeveným klenotem hned pod Karlovým mostem v Praze. Většina turistů se na mostě zdržuje, kochá se výhledem a kupuje si suvenýry ze stánků. Málokdo ví, že na jižní straně mostu se nachází malý ráj. Ostrov Kampa je oázou klidu, plnou stromů a s výhledem na Vltavu. Ostrov nabízí spoustu zábavy: „hlavní třída“ s útulnými kavárenskými terasami a centrální plochou plnou stromů má francouzský nádech. Pro milovníky kultury je zde Muzeum Kampa a pro pěší krásný zelený park bez aut.
Na Kampě je nejkrásnější třída na ostrově s pastelově zbarvenými domy v barokním stylu po obou stranách. Nejsou zde žádné obchody, ale restaurace s terasami ve stínu stromů v létě.
