Hawaiian ancestors did not pass their history and knowledge to the next generations through written documents, but rather through verbal communication also referred to as “Talk Story”.
I love this expression “talk story” …. Who doesn’t want to hear a good story, ask questions and learn something new? Attend a geocaching event and you will hear all kinds of stories, get questions answered, get help with your puzzles and laugh at situations that your friends have experienced while caching … until someone says out loud “A new cache just published” and the room will clear in minutes.
If your GPS or phone says you’ve arrived, you will find yourself near the "new" Talk Story location.
OPEN HOURS
Tues – Sat 10.00am – 5.00pm
Sun & Mon Closed
Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year’s Day
The great thing about a secure hiding spot is that this cache has room for travel bugs where they will be in a safe space, clean and dry, until they move along. We have found over 200 caches on Kauai and many have been archived because it is challenging to keep them alive and safe, while still being accessible. This TB Hotel has been placed with the owner’s permission and the employee we met was excited to help too.
So where to start your search: If you choose to “TALK STORY” park your cache mobile, walk right ahead …
Geocaching could include ”Science" and "Geology"
Even kids love travel bugs so it be would within reach of a school age child
The book is big enough to hold travel bugs and has a pretty Japanese flower name “Kikyoh”
If you are still not sure, check the gallery for some clues – we want you to be successful.
The cache contains a log book, pen, pencil, and a few fun items, please show aloha and leave something for the next cacher if you take something. FTF gets a new Travel Bug.
Congratulations to Ilooklikesee for another FTF on one of our caches
