Monday Trails M & G #4 - Mount Tyrwhitt FM Crowd
The Monday Trails M & G #4 - Mount Tyrwhitt is an opportunity for a little fresh air and chat at a scenic viewpoint. Travel to the viewpoint is along a fairly well marked trail from the Highwood Pass on Highway 40. Care and attention is needed at all times due to wildlife, steep loose terrain and especially following any quantity of precipitation.
Particular care and attention is required from the west end of the Highwood Ridge to the Event Site due to steep loose terrain. A climbing helmet, trekking poles, gloves, bear spray, back pack, adequate hydration and snacks are highly recommended for reaching the Event Site.
In order to arrive at the event site on time, I would suggest leaving the TH at the Highwood Pass between 8:30 and 10:30 am. There are a number of geocaches on the way to the Event, so take your time on the way up and enjoy the scenery.
