This series of caches are hidden along about 1/2 mile of the Sellars Gulch Trail behind the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
Sellars Gulch Trail is 8-foot wide, multiuse paved trail spans 1.7 miles between the East Plum Creek Trail connection, west of Festival Park, and the Douglas County Fairgrounds Regional Park. The trail follows Sellars Gulch, with two underpasses featuring artistic murals that are part of the Art Around the Rock program, which began in 2014 by the Castle Rock Police Department.
Trail users can also enjoy the tribute area dedicated to former Town Mayor Ray Waterman, located near the Cantril Street access point. In addition to a grove of donated trees and a memorial bench, there is a Cornerstone Tribute plaque highlighting the Mayor's contributions and dedication to the Town of Castle Rock.
Parking is available at Festival Park, Cantril Street and Douglas County Fairgrounds. The trail also has additional pedestrian access points on Wilcox Street, Perry Street, Lewis Street, S. Gilbert Street and Plum Creek Parkway.
