Geocache Description:

The Geocache container you seek has been placed with permission out in the open just a few feet from the Southern Shores Town Hall. Although the cache is accessible all hours and year round, keep in mind that night caching could bring official investigators with flashing blue lights since the Southern Shores Police Department is within sight just a few feet away.

This is a family friendly cache large enough for a couple of small trade items with easy access and parking within a few feet of cache location. The best approach is from NC 12 onto Skyline Road. You might even see the container from yourr car or motorcycle as you near the end of the road. However, if you happen to miss that turn you can use the Town Hall Parking Lot  36°06'02.2"N 75°42'55.9"W

Originally part of the "Kitty Hawk community" of Dare County, the Town of Southern Shores was founded as a resort community in 1946 with numerous flat-top homes designed by Frank Stick to fit in with the area's natural landscape. The area of about 4.2 square miles was incorporated as one of six Dare County municipalities in 1979. According 2020 Census data, Southern Shores had a population of 3,107 people in 1,225 households. Located between Duck and Kitty Hawk, this predominantly residential community is made up mostly of year-round residents.

The log is in a pill bottle inside a larger host that should be able to hold one or two small trade items. Please make sure the lid is closed securly to help keep out unwanted moisture.
