When I was younger, kids rode around my neighborhood by bicycle. There were woods surrounding the area that we would look for "forts"; areas where we could hide, play and just enjoy being young. Our forts were secret: the girls had theirs and the boys another, and we did our best to not let the opposition know where our forts were while trying to find theirs.
This area reminds me of those forts, and therefore needed a geocache.
