The Monday Morning M & G #6 - At Mist Mountain is an opportunity for a little fresh air and chat at a scenic viewpoint. Travel to the viewpoint is along a well marked trail where care and attention is needed following any quantity of precipitation.
Travel to the Mist Mountain Summit is along well defined trails and involves a round trip hike of roughly 9.5 km with 1200 - 1300 metres of elevation gain along the way.
Solid preparation is a necessity for this trek with adequate hydration, snacks, hiking supplies and bear spray.
The event will take place between 12:30 and 1:00 pm, so please be sure to give yourself adequate time to reach the event site by carefully pacing your ascent. Based on the distance and elevation, I would recommend leaving the trailhead between 9:00 and 10:30 am to thoroughly enjoy the scenery and to pick up the geocaches along the trail on the way up!
