Escape from New York is a cult 1981 film directed by John Carpenter and co-written with Nick Castle. Starring Kurt Russell as famous Snake Plissken, Lee Van Cleef as warden Hauk, Ernest Borgnine as taxidriver, Donald Pleasence as President, Isaac Hayes as Duke, Harry Dean Stanton as Brain.
Crime rate in the United States rises 400% on year 1988. The Manhattan of New York was transformed as maximum security prison surrounded by containment wall. There are no prison guards inside the prison, prisoners live in Manhattan without a future and no chance of escape. Duke has become the ruler of Manhattan, and he ruthlessly uses his subordinates to maintain his power. In 1997, the US President's plane Air Force One makes an emergency landing in Manhattan and the President is taken hostage by Duke. Snake Plissken, a former famous special forces soldier, but now a convicted criminal, has a chance to be pardoned if he manages to get the President out of Manhattan within 24 hours. Your task is to follow Snake Plissken's trail and save the President. The President has an audiotape with the formula for an inexhaustible energy source, which will change the world.
Statue of Liberty
Liberty Island has famous Statue of Liberty and also has Manhattan security control headquarters. From where the prisoners are sent to the Manhattan island prison. Find this location with a nice statue and take a look benches nearby. Those are made of old swedish company. Count number of letters on name found on benches. That is A.
Flight of Gullfire
Snake Plissken is sent to Manhattan. The only way to get there undercovered is to fly Gullfire during the night. Gullfire has computer imaging map system to locate landing area. Your task is to find yellow marked building. It's not highrise building, but with rather unusual shape. Look for the mainentrance and four numbers on it. Take a last number. That is B.
Escape Pod
Crash site of Air Force One and presidential escape pod. Snake does not find anything else than empty pod. Do you find alley with marked parking spots on left side of this alley in one group? How many of them are numbered? That is C.
Brain's home.
Former NY library is now home of scientist "Brain", where he also has oil pump to produce gasoline for the entire Manhattan. Brain is on favor of Duke, because of his oil supply. Most of cars are steam powered but not Duke's. Find the house where Brain lives and get last number from top of it. That is D.
Broadway
Long street full of debris and crazy people. Not even Duke does enter on this street! Plissken drives his car thru Broadway and got hammered by crazies. Don't stop over there if you manage to find this street, but go and find big blue mushrooms together on front of building, left side of street. Count them. That is E.
President in custody
Duke has hided the captured president into one of trainwagons. Snake managed to release president with his friends, but unfortunatelly Snake was injured and captured by Duke. Find this trainwagon and take a look of red brick house near of it and small ventilation shafts. There is numbers, but take just the first number. That is F.
Mined bridge
Snake with his friends hurries thru mined bridge from Manhattan. This bridge number 19 is leading into freedom what Duke also wants furiously. But with high cost. After all only Plissken and the President are able to escape from New York. Find this and count all lamps on the middle of ceiling of this bridge. This is G.
Air Traffic Control
The final scene of the movie. Snake Plissken has delivered the tape into President. How well it plays, is not an question to ask. He walks away as a free man on Air Traffic Control site, while the President has his speech. Find the Air Traffic Control area and walk into bridge to find out construction year. Look for the last number on plate. That is H.
