That's right folks. I saw myself on screen at this very theater for a whopping two seconds. Walking up a sidewalk you can see in our local downtown, off in the distance. But I'm there and I saw me. Others saw me. It was a glorious two seconds of walking if I do say so myself. I probably can't say what the movie is because that would probably be promoting it...although I see other caches with movies mentioned. But it was filmed here in downtown Van Buren last summer and stars Rumor Willis and was just released May 2025. James Landry Hebert and Eric Nelson (1883 fame) were also in it. I will say James Landry Hebert plays an awfully mean character in the film, but he was THE nicest guy in person. He rode up and first thing he did was thank all of us background folks and said they couldn't do it without us. Super nice man. Graham Greene is in it too. I LOVE him, but sadly his parts were filmed at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park so I didn't get to see him. First time I've ever done background for a movie and it was sure an experience. Hours of walking in 100+ degree weather up and down the sidewalks, across the dirt covered streets dodging horse apples (it's a western). But it was fun. TONS of other folks from this area were in it too. Anyways. This is where I saw myself and other locals on the big screen. :D
