This small cache is located in a spot that reminds me of the movement “Catacombs.” I love how this movement portrays someone hiding in a catacomb. Be careful as this cache will require you to pull off the road!
This three-cache series is dedicated to a composer many forget–Modest Mussorgsky. His composition for piano, Pictures at an Exhibition, was not even published until five full years after his death.
The composition was based on his close friend, Viktor Hartmann’s, paintings. Many of which are lost to this day.
Each movement represents a different painting, and each movement is separated by a “Promenade” which represents the listener walking between the paintings at the exhibition.
As you find the caches in this series, I encourage you to listen to this composition and imagine what you think each movement would look like as a painting.
Happy caching!
Congrats to CemeteryGirl1965 for the FTF!
