Some friends and I will be in Calgary for a week-long convention hosted by the Calgary Numismatic Association at the Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza Hotel.
After arriving early in the morning and making our way to the hotel, we plan to rest for a bit and then explore the nearby area.
The Olive Garden was chosen for several reasons. In Ontario, we no longer have this franchise and have to travel to the U.S. The alternatives were the Canadian Brewhouse, which is more common near home or the Old Spaghetti Factory.
I would love to meet some geocachers who are enthusiastic about the hobby. I will also have some trackables to pass along, including some unactivated duplicates, especially for the event. Everyone is on their own for drinks and meals. Check their lunch menu before you head out.
I am hoping for a good turnout at my first-ever solo event to celebrate my recent 8000 cache finds milestone, first visit to Alberta and of course Geocaching's 25th Anniverary. Take note of the attributes which were randomly chosen, several of which may not be that easy to collect.
