On the 22nd June 2025 Tarvin Brownies will have been going strong for Fifty years.
To celebrate we have set up a geocaching trail. We have made it as easy as possible so that the Brownies and Guides will be able to find the caches without too much trouble. There will be a number of straight forward jigidis, easy quizzes and in some cases we will just tell you where the cache is. None of the caches are at the posted co-ordinates
Most of the caches are on quiet roads or paths, although there is a busier section of road in places
Like the brownie uniform the promise badge has changed a few times over the years (due to many factors)

Original Rosebud promise badge
The rosebud badge didn't last long, as by 1917, it had been replaced by a new badge, an acorn within a brown circle. The next Brownie promise badge was a pin badge of a little Brownie man (although some brownies may have had a brown cloth badge with a little embroidered brownie on them) These badges were flimsy though and were easily broken so the next revamp saw the brownie man on a much sturdier brass bar. During the 30's and 40's metal was needed for military purposes so the badge was originally scaled back and then for a period of time non-existent. Post war the promise badge was once again the little brownie man. When Tarvin Brownies were formed the promise badge was a brownie man depicted inside a Guide Trefoil and made of a silver metal,
