On the 22nd June 2025 Tarvin Brownies will have been going strong for Fifty years.
To celebrate we have set up a geocaching trail. We have made it as easy as possible so that the Brownies and Guides will be able to find the caches without too much trouble. There will be a number of straight forward jigidis, easy quizzes and in some cases we will just tell you where the cache is. None of the caches are at the posted co-ordinates
Most of the caches are on quiet roads or paths, although there is a busier section of road in places
In 1994, a new Promise Badge design was released, matching the new uniforms. A golden Trefoil with a 5-pointed star in the centre.
That style didn’t last for long, because they changed the style of the Guiding logo, so had to change the Promise badges. They kept the same Promise badge styles and colours, so the 2005 Promise badge featured the new-style trefoil on a dark-yellow background
Today’s Promise Badge design (changed in 2023 as the logo changed again), is similar to the 1990s version. It features a golden Trefoil and star on a yellow background. The lines of the Trefoil have been simplified and no longer touch
