On the 22nd June 2025 Tarvin Brownies will have been going strong for Fifty years.
To celebrate we have set up a geocaching trail. We have made it as easy as possible so that the Brownies and Guides will be able to find the caches without too much trouble. There will be a number of straight forward jigidis, easy quizzes and in some cases we will just tell you where the cache is. None of the caches are at the posted co-ordinates
Most of the caches are on quiet roads or paths, although there is a busier section of road in places
Leprechauns (although Irish) were commonly used around the UK as a six name. There were also other more local sixes too.
Leprechaun We’re the Irish Leprechaun, Guiding strangers when forlon
Little People (Irish) We, though known as ‘Little People’, Aim as high as any steeple
Bwbachod (Welsh) We’re the Bwbachod from Wales, Filling farmer’s milking pails
Ghillie Dhu (Scottish) Ghillie Dhu it is our name, We guard the bairns and lead them home
Kelpie (Scottish) We’re the little Scottish Kelpies, Smart and quick and ready helpers
