On the 22nd June 2025 Tarvin Brownies will have been going strong for Fifty years.
To celebrate we have set up a geocaching trail. We have made it as easy as possible so that the Brownies and Guides will be able to find the caches without too much trouble. There will be a number of straight forward jigidis, easy quizzes and in some cases we will just tell you where the cache is. None of the caches are at the posted co-ordinates
Most of the caches are on quiet roads or paths, although there is a busier section of road in places
It was in 1982 that the first Brownie Flags were introduced. They were made of thin woven brown cloth, with the Brownie badge appliqued in yellow, and the unit’s name appliqued in yellow lettering underneath. The three-section elastic-jointed pole was of hollow bronzed lightweight metal rather than solid wood, and it had a turned wooden finial in dark varnished wood. A special leather carrying holster was also available, to assist with carrying it in parades. The lighter pole made it easier for the younger girls to be able to parade with the flag. The current Tarvin flag has been in use since the early 1990's.
Another jigsaw solve will lead you to this cache
