Touristenmassen im Winter wie auch im Sommer auf der Höss bzw. den Hutterer Böden. Easy Anreise mit Auto aber auch der Seilbahn und viele möglichkeiten zum Schifahren, Wandern aber auch der kulinarischen Verköstigung. Aber wusstet ihr, dass es auch sehr ruhige Plätze gibt? An so manchen Ausblickspunkten in der Gegend lässt sich erahnen, dass nur unweit des Trubels, es auch sehr einsame Orte zu entdecken gibt.

Dieser Cache führt euch zu einem schönen Ausblickspunkt (gut, der ist ein paar Meter weiter) auf das untere Rottal, wo es noch Almidylle und absolute Stille gibt und die Kühe in Ruhe ihre Runden drehen.
Vor ein paar Jahren war diese Gegend in Gefahr: Die Gegend sollte dem Schigott geopfert werden. Gott sei Dank wurde dieses Projekt aber (bis dato) abgeblasen. Möge es so bleiben...

Es ist eine kurze Wanderung von der Bergstation. Bitte aber beachtet die Schilder kurz vor dem Abstieg und bleibt unbedingt am Weg! Der alte Almweg fällt linker Seite sehr steil ab und ist nicht gesichert. Es ist sehr schottrig und die Felswände bröckeln hier auch. Vorsicht also, vor allem wenn man mit Kids unterwegs ist oder aber auch in der Übergangsjahreszeit.

Eine Anreise ist auch mit dem MTB möglich, da diese Strecke auf der offiziellen MTB3-Strecke liegt. Aber auch hier gilt: man sollte wissen, was man tut. Im Zweifelsfall schieben.

Die Coords sind nicht so genau aufgrund eingeschränktem GPS-Empfang. Mit dem Spoiler sollte es aber klappen.

Es empfiehlt sich eine Wanderung bis zur Steyersbergerreith (vor allem während der Öffnungszeiten) und einen Weitermarsch über den Hutberg nach Vorderstoder. Hier trifft man Einsamkeit und Entspannung.


Crowds of tourists in both winter and summer on the Höss and the Hutterer Böden. Easy access by car or cable car, and many opportunities for skiing, hiking, and culinary delights. But did you know that there are also very quiet spots? At many viewpoints in the area, you can sense that not far from the hustle and bustle, there are also very secluded places to discover.

This cache leads you to a beautiful viewpoint (well, it's a few meters further) of the lower Rottal valley, where you can still find idyllic alpine pastures and absolute silence, and where cows graze peacefully.

A few years ago, this area was in danger: The area was supposed to be sacrificed to the ski god. Thankfully, this project has been called off (for now). May it stay that way...

It's a short hike from the mountain station. Please pay attention to the signs just before the descent and stay on the trail! The old alpine path drops very steeply on the left and is not secured. It's very gravelly, and the rock faces are crumbling here, too. So be careful, especially if you're traveling with kids or during the transitional seasons.

You can also reach the area by mountain bike, as this route is on the official MTB3 route. But here, too, you should know what you're doing. If in doubt, push the bike.

The coordinates aren't that precise due to limited GPS reception. But with the spoiler, it should work.

We recommend a hike to Steyersbergerreith (especially during opening hours) and then a walk over Hutberg to Vorderstoder. Here, you'll find solitude and relaxation.
