Just a few minutes from this cache, you’ll find one of Portugal’s most stunning beaches: Praia da Bordeira. Sand, dunes, waves – and quite possibly a few seagulls with more style than your average influencer.

And right in the middle? That’s where the Lazy Bird lives.
A chilled feathered friend who picked himself a dream spot – right near the famous Fishermen’s Trail. While others sweat their way through stage after stage, our easy-going coastal dweller prefers to do what he does best: hang out and enjoy the view.

The Fishermen’s Trail is considered one of the best coastal hiking routes in the world – no joke!

It follows the paths traditionally used by locals to reach their beaches and fishing spots. The trail is:

• walkable only on foot,

• and often physically demanding – leading right along rugged cliffs, with wind, sea, and wild nature at your back.

Carrapateira, ein verschlafenes Nest an der Westküste der Algarve – aber wehe, du glaubst, hier ist nichts los! Nur ein paar Minuten vom Cache entfernt rauscht einer der spektakulärsten Strände Portugals: der Praia da Bordeira. Sand, Dünen, Wellen – und ziemlich wahrscheinlich ein paar Möwen, die mehr Stil haben als so mancher Influencer.

Und mittendrin? Sitzt der "Lazy Bird".

Er folgt den Spuren der Einheimischen, die diese Pfade seit jeher nutzen, um zu ihren Stränden und Angelstellen zu gelangen. Der Weg ist:

• sandig,

• nur zu Fuß begehbar,

• und oft körperlich anspruchsvoll – denn er führt direkt entlang der schroffen Klippen, immer mit Wind, Meer und der rauen, wilden Natur im Nacken.

Eine echte Herausforderung – aber mit atemberaubender Belohnung!

• Finde den relaxten Piepmatz, der sich hier ganz still zwischen Atlantikwind und Küstenpflanzen versteckt.

• Der Cache ist fußläufig vom Ort oder vom Wanderweg erreichbar.
