Welcome to Tiger Hills Trail!
This 3.2 km (one-way) trail is suitable for hiking, jogging, and cycling. The trailhead is located at N 49° 37.532′ W 98° 42.099′ at the Cottonwood Campground, where parking is also available. There is a map on the large sign at these coordinates. Washrooms and playground are located nearby.
Please do not drive vehicles on the trail. Driving on the roads next to the trail is very okay, but please don't bring cars, trucks, quads, or off-road vehicles onto the path in the forest as it makes it harder to use for cyclists. Terrain is rated 2.5 to indicate that the trail was designed with cyclists in mind, but keep in mind the length of the trail if planning a hike. The terrain may be closer to a 3 for people on foot. Keep the weather and possible muddiness in mind as well, as the path is newly laid.
The trail involves going from the sports grounds to the south end of town on Timmerman Trail (street). Head west along Road 42N, then turn South along Road 55W, taking you into the Tiger Hills. The trail ends at Road 41N (Tower Road). You can backtrack to town using the same route. Please note the trail is shared with, and crosses, municipal roads in places. The trail uses sidewalks in town, walking paths beside highways, and a path through a small forest area where the geocache is located.
Please stay on the trail where possible, though the geocache will require taking a few steps off the beaten path. Closed-toed shoes and long pants are recommended, and dress for the weather. You shouldn't need long sleeves. The cache should contain a log book, pencil, and a few other items.
