Mount Cole Camping (MCC) Series #1 - Ditchfield
Ditchfield Campground is one of the more popular campsites on Mount Cole, particularly on long weekends, attracting bushwalkers, 4WDers, horseriders and nature lovers.
Camping
Ditchfield is suitable for tent, campervan and small caravan camping.
Facilities
Facilities include fire pits, picnic tables and drop toilets.
The hut is no longer, as it was burnt in the Bayindeen - Mount Cole bushfire of February 2024.
Access
Ditchfield is fully accessible by 2WD from the Mount Cole Road, which is a well maintained gravel road that traverses the mountain range from Raglan through to Warrak.
Ditchfield is on the Beeripmo Walk, a 21km 2-day circuit of hiking trails throughout the mountain.
There are some spectacular views off many of the adjoining tracks, including the 3.5km Escarpment Track loop that starts and ends at the campground.
