- 136 of these 146 tornadoes occurred within the span of 24 hours, which is also the third-most tornadoes to occur within a 24-hour span in the United States, also behind the 2011 Super Outbreak (which had 218 tornadoes occur in the U.S. within a 24-hour span at its peak) and the 1974 Super Outbreak (whose 148 tornadoes all occurred within a 24-hour span).
