This Cache is intended to showcase the Arade dam, which was once a tourist attraction, containing a ferry that took tourists to the café/restaurant (which is now in ruins) to the island in the center of the dam.
The dam of Arade is located in the district of Faro, Silves and is fed by water flow of the river Arade, whose length is 56 kilometers. The dam belongs to Arade basin.
The construction of the dam was completed in 1955 and entered into operation in 1956.

Access:
1- By water: You can use a boat, kayak, canoe, etc. If you can't swim, wear a life jacket and go with someone else. Don't put your life at risk.
2- On foot: +/- 2km, it can vary if you don't go in a straight line. I recommend a 4x4 car, 4x4 shoes, trousers, and a good tool for clearing the bushes. I don't recommend going alone. Bring water.
