The Woodland Regional Park Preserve recently opened in the southeast corner of Woodland, California.
The WRPP is an open space created for Biodiversity Conservation in the area. There is a concrete walking path. Activities include walking, jogging, birding, painting and geocaching. The WRPP gives folks a nice quiet area to enjoy nature.
Make sure you start you visit by reading the Park Information Rules sign on this kiosk. The prohibitions of most interest to many geocachers are:
“No dogs or other domesticated animals are permitted except for ADA Service Animals on leash.”
“Biking, Roller Blading, etc, are not permitted past the bike parking zone.”
There are others of more interest to others and you should be sure read them.
The Preserve is open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. “Gates Locked at 7pm.”
