Cowboy was on his way to visit his girl, Deborah Ann, so he decided to stop along the Animas River to take a bath and shave. He saw himself in a reflection in the water. His hair was long and matted from being on the trail and eating clouds of dirt for days. What a mess, Cowboy thought to himself. Then he remembered that Miss. Laura was known throughout the area for her fine haircuts and styles. And with luck, she might be home in her shop just up the river. Cowboy sheepishly rode up to her porch and asked if she could do him a favor and give him a haircut. "Sure", Laura replied, "Come on in and I will fix you up". In a short period, Cowboy had a shampoo and a stylish haircut. Cowboy looked in the mirror and said, "Miss Laura, is this really me?" Laura remarked, "Sure is, and I did not realize you were such a handsome guy." Cowboy blushed, paid for the haircut, and said, "Thanks, see you next time."
