Before the Michigan Geocaching Organization (MiGO) series of Camp MiGO events at Sleepy Hollow State Park (SHSP), area cacher Snoring Eagles, with help from family and friends, held an event at the Park the third weekend of August each year for many years. In keeping with the name of the Park, these events were called "Haunted Hollow" events. MiGO then continued the tradition of a mid-August event at SHSP, calling them "Camp MiGO" events.
With the beach and campground at Sleepy Hollow State Park closed this summer, Camp MiGO has moved -- just for this one year -- to a different location and a different weekend.
The rest of Sleepy Hollow State Park is still open, including its many, many miles of very nice walking and bicycling trails, so we decided to have an event the traditional third weekend of August here. As an homage to Snoring Eagles, we decided to return to the "Haunted Hollow" name. Just for this one year.
This event is a full day of caching fun. Many new themed caches will be hidden for the event, all within Sleepy Hollow State Park. Our theme this year is Michigan Wildflowers. Caches will be smalls to regulars and will vary in both difficulty and terrain
