Background:
In 1993, the 905 area code was carved out of the existing 416 area code. Prior to this, 416 was the area code for all of the Golden Horseshoe, but after the split, only Metro Toronto retained the 416 area code, while the rest of the Golden Horseshoe took on the new 905 code. The area code spans the following areas entirely- Niagara Peninsula, Hamilton, the regional municipalities of Halton, Peel and York. A majority of Durham, Northumberland and Haldimand regions also use the area code.
The Challenge:
In order to qualify for the challenge, you have to complete your fizzy (Difficulty/Terrain matrix) with caches only from the following counties - Niagara, Hamilton, Halton, Peel, York, Durham, Northumberland and Haldimand. (These are counties where the 905 area code is predominantly used). No need to travel far and wide. We have plenty of qualifying caches in the area.
A checker has been provided to validate your qualification.
The Fine Print:
The usual rules of Challenge caches apply.
- You may sign the logbook if you don't qualify yet, and log a "Note"
- You can only log a find if you qualify (using the the project-gc checker below) AND sign the log.
- The Difficulty Rating is based on the perceived difficulty of accomplishing the challenge, and the terrain is the effort required to find the cache.
