We found this place hidden in Comox…It is called the Brooklyn Creek Enhancement Project …The creek was cleaned up by locals… They put in bridges and steps all along the creek…The lat and long are for a 7 foot rock cairn dedicated to Mack Laing…Stand in front of the cairn and get out your compass… look at a bearing of 330° for 20 meters (I DID NOT CORRECT THE MAGNETIC DEV. in case people don’t know how to) you should see a HUGE half dead maple. The cache is in a hole at the base of the tree covered in bark and leaves…Please cover it up when you are done as the container is bright yellow and would stick out like a sore thumb…You can park here (N49.40.445 W124.54.737) at the trailhead...If you are the first or second here take your prize...if you can scan it please put it on the cache page.
