Geocache Description:

This series highlights the dwarves of Tolkein's The Hobbit. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Nori is one of the thirteen Dwarves who join Thorin Oakenshield and Bilbo Baggins on the quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug. He is a member of the House of Durin and a distant kinsman of Thorin.

Key points about Nori:

  • Brother of Dori and Ori: Nori is the middle brother of Dori and Ori, both of whom also participate in the quest.
  • Troublesome thief: Nori is known for being a bit of a rogue and often finds himself in trouble with the authorities due to his tendency to steal.
  • Loyal to his brothers: Despite their occasional disagreements, Nori is fiercely loyal to his brothers and will protect them if they are threatened.
  • Plays the flute: Along with Dori and Ori, Nori is a flautist and played music during the evening at Bag End.
  • Enjoys food: Nori, like Bilbo, appreciates good food and believes meals should be frequent and plentiful.
  • Fought in the Battle of Five Armies: Nori survives the Battle of Five Armies and remains in Erebor after the quest's successful completion.
  • Distinct appearance: Nori has a memorable appearance with a triple mohawk hairstyle and a purple hood.
