When I was planning a hike of this part of Big Basin I noticed this long stretch of Gazos Creek Road without caches so I planned on placing some. Ultimately I placed only this one because it was hard to find good spots within 3 feet of the trail on the fire road. Here you are looking for a camo'ed pill bottle right next to the trail. Cache is around 3 miles from park headquarters.
Park hours are 8am to sunset. Current parking fee is $8 with advance online reservation (recommended) or $10 first come, first-served. Parking is at park HQ or, on weekends, holidays and through the summer, an overflow lot at Saddle Mountain, with a free shuttle running to/from the main day-use area.
