Since Antiquity, humankind has learned to dialogue with the wind — sometimes as a force of survival, sometimes as a promise of the future.
In this place, that relationship is revealed through two contrasting faces, separated by time, yet united by the same invisible element.
🏚️ The ruins of an old windmill stand as a silent witness to an era when the wind was harnessed through ingenuity and human effort, turning stones, grinding grain, and ensuring daily bread. Today, only worn walls and memories remain of a slow but essential labor.
⚙️ Nearby, modern wind turbines rise as symbols of innovation and hope. Where the wind once sustained a local community, it now becomes clean, efficient, and silent energy, capable of lighting thousands of lives.
Between the ruin and the constant rotation of the blades, the wind remains the same — what changes is how humans learn to listen to it and make use of it.
💡 Take a moment to listen to the wind. The same wind that once turned sails and mills now spins turbines and carries stories through the fields.
