This geocache is located in Chautauqua Park in the central part of Mound City. This is a nice quiet park with lots of room for family games and has picnic facilities including a shelter house. Mound City is located along the Loess Bluffs formed by the early glacier movement and wind blown soil. It is a nice community with a swimming pool, 9 hole golf course, and various other parks. Near by is the Loess Bluffs National Game Refuge which is home for resident bald eagles and has thousands of migaratory ducks and geese in the spring and fall.
This cache is a park and grab and should be fairly easy to find. It is a nano sized cache so bring your own pen as there is none available. Please search here only during daylight hours and leave everything as you found it. Happy hunting.
