Geocache Description:


The Newton Blackmour State Trail spans 22 miles on a former rail corridor in Outagamie County. The trail name is derived from the four communities the trail passes through: New London, Shiocton, Black Creek and Seymour

Special feature in Shiocton.

  • Bamboo Bend at Shiocton - On County Highway 54. Parking is available on the north side of County Hwy. 54.   From mid-April to early May, Lake Sturgeon travel upstream to their spawning grounds, giving the public a prime opportunity to see these ancient ones up close.

The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager.
