FIN Perniön Pyhän Laurin kirkko
Pyhälle Laurentiukselle omistettu harmaakivikirkko rakennettiin keskiajalla vuosina 1460-1480. Kirkko on torniton, suorakaiteinen pitkäkirkko, jonka pohjoispuolella on matala sakaristo ja eteläpuolella runkohuoneen keskikohdassa asehuone. Kirkossa on jyrkkälappeinen paanukatto ja länsipäädyssä näyttävä itä-uusmaalaista tyyppiä oleva tiilikoristelu.
Sisätilojen nykyasu perustuu 1960-luvulla tehtyyn restaurointiin. Istumapaikkoja on 800 hengelle. Kuorin lattiassa on seitsemän 1500-luvulta peräisin olevaa kalkkikivistä hautalaattaa.
Kellotapuli, jonka alin kivestä rakennettu osa on keskiaikainen, on aikanaan toiminut kirkkomaan porttihuoneena. Tapulin yläosan puurakenne on lounaissuomalaisen tapulityypin mukainen kahdeksankulmainen kellohuone. Puuosan rakensi nykyiseen muotoonsa Antti Söderman vuonna 1797.
Tämä kätkö jatkaa aiemmin arkistoidun kirkkokätkön perinteitä alkuperäisellä NaSSun 2008 piilottamalla filmipurkilla. Kätkö ei ole kiviaidassa!
ENG St. Lawrence's Church in Perniö
The grey stone church dedicated to St. Lawrence was built in the Middle Ages between 1460 and 1480. The church is a towerless, rectangular long church with a low sacristy on the north side and an armoury in the middle of the main room on the south side. The church has a steep-pitched shingle roof and a striking brick decoration in the East Uusimaa style on the west end.
The current interior design is based on a restoration carried out in the 1960s. There is seating for 800 people. The vaulted ceilings of the three-nave church are covered with paintings from the late 15th century, which were sometimes covered with whitewash, but were partially brought out in 1904. The church is also decorated with medieval wooden sculptures and a large wooden triumphal crucifix. There are seven limestone tombstones dating from the 16th century on the floor of the chancel.
The bell tower, the lowest part of which is built of stone, dates back to the Middle Ages and once served as a gatehouse for the churchyard. The wooden structure of the upper part of the bell tower is an octagonal bell tower in the style of a southwestern Finnish bell tower. The wooden part was built in its current form by Antti Söderman in 1797.
