Hello
I am RecklessYeti. Or you can call me Yeti.
Yes, I am newer here.
No, I was not always a Yeti.
You might believe this story.
You might belive in curses.
You might believe in the Yeti
You might believe , you might not.
So one day I was hiking through the woods. I was not paying attention as I should. Jamming to some music, staring at that screen as always. I almost missed it as I passed a large tree. There was a blur of fur and movement. There was a rugged, stout, muscular creature emerging from the shadows, Coming right for me. With a low growl, the creature stepped out to the trail. It grunted and swung a massive arm and sharp claws at me. It was dumb luck I staggered backwards and the claws missed me! It didn't stop. The creature advanced again. lunging forward and slashing the claws again. I retreated, trying to dodge the attacks.Arms held up to protect myself. Left. Right. Back back back. Then my heel connected with a tree root and I went down. Hard. On the way down my arms flailed wildly. And a final attack landed, the claws scratching my arm. There was acute pain and already I could feel warm drops running down to my elbow. I was on the gound and the creature vanished into the woods again. Almost like it was never even there. I got up after a moment and shook the fog from my head and wiped some dirt from my clothes. I looked up and down the trail. Nobody, no witnesses. I scanned the trees for the creature but it was gone. Leaving nothing but silence. It must have left tracks! I looked at the ground. But no luck. the ground was packed hard from all the foot traffic. I did see a dark spot on the ground and thought ... The Scratch! I looked at my forearm expecting to see long marks and crimson. I turned my arm and there was... Nothing. There was no blood. no wound. I could not explain it,
I went home replaying the events the whole way. who could I tell? Family? freinds? co-workers? They would think i was crazy. I had no proof, no evidence. Not even the scratch to show anyone.
I wondered if I made it all up. Did i fall and hit my head. Did i just have a vivid dream.
Then one day I woke up. I could feel everything. I could feel my muscles and they hurt. I could feel my skin and bones and my hair, I could feel it all, so much more than other days. I could feel my hair. So much hair. Hair everywhere. Hair in places that would be indecent to mention in polite company.
Anger. Rage. Irritation.
I had become a Yeti!
Somehow the creature knew it could pass on the Curse of the Yeti with just a quickest of encounters and spilling a little blood.
Keep your head up and eyes open or it could happen to you too!
