Geocache Description:

There is a spring water called "Awakening Clear Water" near the T-shaped road along National Route 108, at the point where the Yakunai River and the Hakukunai River, which flow through the Akinomiya area of Yuzawa City, meet. It was named after the cold and firm water that takes away people's sleepiness and fatigue. It is said that it was popular as a water to help practitioners and travelers who cross the Ariya Pass from the time of Onin (1467-1469) a long time ago. It is currently maintained as a five-way intersection park, and the Ryu Shrine of traffic safety has been built, saying, "I want you to drink clean water and continue your journey safely with a fresh feeling." It is a popular spot for people from inside and outside the region to fetch water. Writing instruments are required to log.
