Tucked just off the beaten path, this cache hides in a quiet corner of the Frio Canyon Trail—just south of the Persimmon Hill Camping Area. While bikers cruise the main trail and campers roast marshmallows nearby, you’ll be slipping into a more peaceful, less-traveled walking trail that connects back to the main route.
We noticed something while exploring this trail: no geocaches! So we figured, why not fix that?
Whether you're hiking with your crew, taking a solo nature break, or trying to outsmart your GPS, this little cache is a nod to the joy of discovering hidden things in beautiful places. If you’re lucky, you might spot a deer—or at least a squirrel with anattitude.
The cache is a regular sized container, but no climbing or scrambling required. Bring a pen, trade a trinket, and maybe leave a note.
📸 Bonus points if you upload a photo of your adventure (no spoilers though)!

🧭 Happy caching, and may the trail treat you kindly!
