Under 2025 går länen Blekinge, Kalmar och Kronoberg ihop för att arrangera ett CITO-event varje månad under året, samtliga i något av de tre länen. Målet är att göra CITO´n lite vanligare och samtidigt göra jorden en lite bättre plats att bo på.

Bjazze och jag fick en fråga från vår vän Marcus Törnberg på Länsstyrelsen Blekinge ifall vi kunde tänka oss att förlägga ännu ett CITO ute vid Uttorps naturreservat på Sturkö. Självklart tyckte jag och vid ett besök i reservatet kunde jag konstatera att Vresrosen skjutit en del nya skott och behöver därför tuktas innan de blir för stora. Därför kör vi en favorit i repris med bekämpning av den invasiva arten samt skräpplockning längs med kustremsan. Kan vi hoppas på tredje gången gillt?!
Marcus från Länsstyrelsen kommer att vara med på plats och instruera oss. Han kommer även gå en runda i reservatet och se om det finns fler rosbuskar eller om det finns något annat han vill ha hjälp med att få bort eller ordnat. Så ta gärna med er handskar, spade eller grep, sekatör eller grensax samt skräpplockare ifall ni har, så står jag med soppåsar. Jag fyller bilen med vad jag har i redskapsväg, så kan ni låna av det också. Allt som vi gräver eller plockar upp kommer Marcus sedan att ta med sig i sin tjänstebil och köra till en återvinningsstation.
Jag har satt event-tiden till 1,5 timme för detta för att ha lite marginaler till förflyttningar och eventuellt tillkommande arbeten. Blir det tid över så lär vi inte ha några problem att fylla det. Däremot blir det inget vanligt event i direkt anslutning till detta CITO, istället så kommer det en timme senare att bli ett Community Celebration Event 30 km körväg bort, inne i Karlskrona (GCAZW6X). Det blir alltså en timmes fri rörelse mellan eventen för att alla som vill delta på båda eventen ska hinna förflytta sig.

[EN] This CITO event is part of a series of events, one each month in the southeast part of Sweden.
Bjazze and I received a question from our friend Marcus Törnberg at the Blekinge County Administrative Board if we could consider placing another CITO out at Uttorp Nature Reserve on Sturkö. Of course, I said and during a visit to the reserve I could see that the invasive rose was growing again and therefore needs to be disciplined before it gets too big. That's why we are running a favorite in a repeat with combating the invasive species and picking up litter along the coastal strip. Can we hope for third time lucky?!
Marcus Törnberg will be there to instruct us. He will also walk around the reserve and see if there are more rose bushes or if there is anything else he wants help with removing or arranging. So please bring gloves, a shovel or grapple, pruners or loppers and a garbage picker if you have one, and I will bring garbage bags. I will fill the car with what I have in the way of tools, so you can borrow some of that too. Everything that we dig or pick up, Marcus will then take with him in his company car and take it to a recycling station.
I have set the event time to 1.5 hours for this to have some margin for transfers and possible additional work. If there is time left, we will not have any problems filling it. However, there will not be a regular event directly connected to this CITO, instead there will be a Community Celebration Event an hour later and 30 km away, in Karlskrona (GCAZW6X). Therefore, there will be an hour of free time between the events so that everyone who wants to participate in both events has time to transfer.
