Haibin Road is a scenic road in Shantou, built along the only inner bay in China - the Inner Bay of Shantou. There is a very comfortable seaside promenade along the road for citizens to take a walk. 汕头潮人码头是位于汕头内海湾北岸的滨水文化地标，原为汕头港老码头区，经改造后成为融合潮汕文化、商业休闲与景观功能的城市会客厅。这里不仅保留了百年商埠的港口记忆，更通过现代设计再现了汕头作为潮人故里的海洋文化特色。潮汕拥有众多的码头，从古至今码头文化昌盛，从百年前的漳林古港，到如今的汕头国际码头，都是有力的体现。这也是为什么潮汕地区有众多华侨的原因，潮汕人刻在基因里的“拼搏，闯荡”精神促使了一批批青壮年背起行囊，踏上象征着机遇和未来的“红头船”，驶向东南亚创业拼搏，这些飘洋过海讨生活的人被称为“番客”，而他们飘洋过海的过程成为“过番”。在赚到钱后，在外的番客还会把钱寄回家里，成为“侨批”，关于“侨批”的历史和具体信息，在宝主@NanoApe的GCB06FY（西堤公园-Xidi Park)所藏的公园内有详细的记载，公园就在海滨路的尽头，距离此处宝藏大概还有1km,非常推荐前往那里找宝并了解关于“侨批”的历史！在登上前往异国他乡的红头船前，旅人们还会来上一碗便宜好吃又顶饱的“猪脚饭”，而且大多数旅人还会在自己的背篓里装上一饼“甜粿”，因为这种甜粿既便宜，又方便携带，而且由于糖分高的原因，不易在旅途过程中变质损坏。也正是这段独特的“过番”历史，赋予了这两种潮汕特色食物独特的意义，在今天这两种特色食物仍然在潮汕得到了很好的保存于流传，如果此时正值饭点，那你不如晚饭试一试这两种食物！

Driven by an enterprising spirit, generations of young Teoswa men embarked on junks called "red-head boats" to seek fortune in Southeast Asia - a journey known as "Guo Fan." These migrants ("Fan Ke") would later send earnings home as "Qiaopi" remittances, documented at @NanoApe's GCB06FY cache in Xidi Park (1km west along Harbor Road). Before departure, travelers would eat affordable braised pork rice and pack sweet rice cakes ("Tian Kueh") - durable, high-energy provisions that remain iconic Teoswa foods today.
