Jei norisi trumpam pabėgti nuo rutinos, nėra geresnės vietos už tylų ir žalią Malūno parko prieglobstį. Iki 2017 m. ši vieta buvo žinoma kaip Trinyčių parkas. Tai vienas vaizdingiausių Klaipėdos kampelių, o svarbiausias jo akcentas – Malūno tvenkinys, atsiveriantis šalia senojo malūno pastato.
Seniausia parko dalis minima dar XVI a., kai užtvenkus Danės upės atšaką susidarė šis vandens telkinys. Malūnas, stovintis Bangų gatvės ir Gluosnių skersgatvio kampe, iki šiol liudija vietos kilmę. XVIII a. aplink kūrėsi Joniškės, Būtsargių ir Justenhofo dvarai.
Vėliau, pradėjus veikti netoliese esančiam „Trinyčių“ fabrikui, tvenkinys pramintas Trinyčių ežeru – šis vardas prigijo ir parkui.
Šiandien čia vingiuoja dviračių takas, įrengtos vaikų žaidimų aikštelės, supynės ir vietos piknikams. Prie tvenkinio įsikūrusi skulptūra „Žydėjimas“ (autorius Jurgis Malinauskas), žyminti kadaise čia buvusį miesto geografinį centrą.
Malūno parkas – tarsi lėtas miesto atokvėpis, kupinas žalumos, istorijos ir ramaus ritmo.
If you want to escape from your routine for a while, there is no better place than the quiet and green haven of Malūnas Park. Until 2017, this place was known as Trinyčiai Park. It is one of the most picturesque corners of Klaipėda, and its most important highlight is the Malūnas Pond, which opens up next to the old mill building.
The oldest part of the park is mentioned as early as the 16th century, when this body of water was formed after damming a branch of the Danė River. The mill, located on the corner of Bangų Street and Gluosnių Alley, still bears witness to the origin of the place. In the 18th century, the Joniškės, Būtsargiai and Justenhofas manors were built around it.
Later, when the nearby “Trinyčiai” factory began operating, the pond was nicknamed Trinyčiai Lake – this name also stuck to the park.
Today, a bicycle path winds here, children's playgrounds, swings and places for picnics are installed. The sculpture "Flowering" (author Jurgis Malinauskas) is located near the pond, marking the geographical center of the city that was once located here.
Malūnas Park is like a slow respite from the city, full of greenery, history, and a calm rhythm.
