Percorrendo la Via Francisca da Chiavenna all’ingresso del paese di San Pietro trovate questa piccola cappella. Circondata da prati verdi e con le montagne a fare da sfondo è il luogo adatto per una breve sosta o… per una ricerca lenta, silenziosa e attenta.
La cappella non è particolarmente antica ma, pur non avendo particolari elementi artistici rilevanti, è pulita, curata e ben tenuta. La sua posizione, proprio lungo il cammino, suggerisce che forse potesse esserci una originaria cappella come punto di preghiera e riposo per i viandanti che un tempo percorrevano questa storica via.
Per non disturbare la quiete del luogo e rispettare l'ambiente non dovete entrare nella cappelletta. Potete semplicemente cercare ed accedere a questa semplice cache dall'esterno, senza aprire il cancelletto.
While walking along the Via Francisca from Chiavenna, just at the entrance of the village of San Pietro, you’ll come across this small chapel. Surrounded by green fields and backed by mountains, it's a peaceful place — perfect for a short break… or for a slow, quiet and attentive search.
Although the chapel has no particularly remarkable artistic elements, it is clean, well-kept, and clearly cared for. Its position along the route suggests that it may have served as a spot of prayer and rest for the pilgrims and travelers who once walked this ancient path.
You can look for and access this simple cache from the outside, without opening the gate.
