Hi! I'm a Scout from Troop 631 in Oviedo, Florida, and I'm working on the Geocaching Merit Badge. As part of the badge requirements, I helped plan, build, and place this cache with the support of my troop.
We decided to place it here because our troop participates in Seminole County’s Adopt-a-Trail program, and this part of the Cross Seminole Trail is one we help maintain. That means we come out here throughout the year to pick up litter, check on the trail, and help keep it looking great for everyone who uses it—walkers, bikers, families, and even other geocachers like you.
The cache itself is hidden in a flashlight, which felt like the perfect container for Scouts—we're always prepared, and a flashlight is something every Scout should have. It's a small container, so there's a logbook.
You won’t need to go off-trail or move anything heavy. Just take your time and look closely.
Thanks for checking it out, and I hope you enjoy your time on the trail as much as we do when we're out here helping take care of it.
