🌲 Kas yra sakavimas?
Sakavimas – tai senas miškų ūkio būdas, kai iš gyvų pušų renkama derva (sakai). Į medžio kamieną daromi „eglutės“ formos įpjovimai, leidžiantys sakams tekėti žemyn į surinkimo indą. Tokie pjūviai ne tik efektyviai nukreipdavo sultis, bet ir tapo išskirtiniu miško raštu, matomu net po dešimtmečių.

🌲 What is Resin Tapping?
Resin tapping is an old forestry practice where live pine trees were tapped for resin (also called pitch or sap). V-shaped cuts in a “herringbone” or “Christmas tree” pattern were made into the bark, guiding the resin down into collection containers. These cuts not only helped the sap flow efficiently but also left behind striking patterns visible for decades.

Collected resin was a highly valuable material, used in many ways:
