The Wuchong blueway is generally uninterrupted, apart from some difficult road crossings in a few locations (especially at Huangbei), though all of these (except for Huangbei) can be traversed by using the walkway along the bank. The only exception to the continuous pathways along the Wuchong is here, where it encounters one of Guangzhou's largest industrial sites. The joint-venture car factory blocks the pathway along the river, with the river continuing through but bike and other traffic forced to go around.
The blueway includes some seating placed at regular intervals, some of which is rarely if ever used. The seating here can be a convenient place for signing the log. With the Jitang metro station fairly close by and so much land around the cache devoted to car and truck parking, it seems likely that in future years this area may be transformed.
