Phascolarctos cinereus Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

dohertys: Several years ago the tracks were rearranged making this cache much less accessible. We thought we would see how it went but after reports of the cache being waterlogged and decrepit we have decided to take it out. Left a couple of toy animals at the site for people who may be working with old queries but carried out the rest of the remnants.

Geocache Description:

A traditional cache with a zoological theme.

This cache is set in some bush land that has excellent picnic facilities and a variety of prepared woodland and wetland walks. Keep your eyes peeled as you walk to and from the cache as you may see a Phascolarctos cinereus in the wild. We did!

The cache contains a variety of creatures: Tursiops truncatus, Litoria caeulea, Scylla serrata and Lycosa tuartantula. Also included is a pair of Phascolarctos cinereus supporting a precision quartz chronometer. A piece so fine, that I am sure that the first finder will take it home and straight to pride of place in their pool room! Feel free to swap a creature for another one whilst maintaining the theme by including the scientific name in the log.

The tracks have been reconfigured a bit, so this is no longer as close to the track as it used to be, so a bit more off track bush walking is now required.

Happy Geocaching!
