Ethiopia is widely considered the birthplace of coffee. Legend says a goatherd named Kaldi noticed his goats dancing after eating red berries, and coffee was discovered.
Coffee in Ethiopia is more than a drink—it is a ritual. The Habesha Coffee Ceremony is a traditional practice of hospitality. Green coffee beans are washed, roasted over an open flame, ground by hand, and brewed in a clay pot called a jebena. The coffee is often served in three rounds—Abol, Tona, and Baraka—symbolizing friendship and blessing.
To earn your next coordinates, put the key moments of the ceremony in order and see what they spell.
