We have hidden our 25 year celebration cache here near the half way point on Offa's Dyke for walkers & those that like to cache & dash, alike! Please bring your own pen or pencil.
Yes, who knew Newcastle-on-Clun was the half way point?! 88.5 miles in each direction. We sure didn't until we moved into the area!
In order to actually see the half way sign, you need to go over the nearby style here, onto the Dyke itself & head up the footpath (up the VERY steep hill) to your left.
This is also a good spot if you are out walking as there is a fresh water tap here at the style for you to fill up your water bottles with. And, if you come off the foot path & head to the local Church there are benches at the Church for resting & picnicing (fabulous view point!) & if the Church is open you will also find free bottles of water available for walkers just inside.
If you are caching & dashing the road is quite steep here so we suggest either parking at the bottom by the junction, or parking by the Church & making the last short walk on foot. That way you can easily find our other cache nearby the unusal Church Lych Gate too! :)
