Horn Lake has a number of parks to explore, and while some are big recreation areas, others are no more than tucked away fields or nature walks. To add to my joy of geocaching, I've decided to start hiding a few caches at these parks in order to bring attention to the locals.
This cache is placed at Wooten Park which hosts baseball fields, a basketball court, playground, and a paved walking trail. Most of the fields and play areas have seen better days, but the basketbal court seems to be very active with people out most days playing.
Most of the parking for the park is just west of Horn Lake Middle School so if you come during the start or end of the school day you'll have to navigate some traffic, but most of the time the park is pretty quiet. For a shorter trek to the cache, there's also a North entrance at the dead end of Ridgewood Rd with street parking.
