Use the designated parking spot, as the trailhead here is the only way to get to the cache without going across private property without permission. Head down the trail through the meadow and take a right at the Y. Follow the trail and you will come to a sign that says "Private Property". I have talked with the landowner and he is ok with hikers and bikers crossing his property, just not motorized vehicles. The trail has less than 200 feet of elevation change. Enjoy the short hike to three caches. Include in your post what you think the weird metal thing is.
